About

Emmanuel Gomez started doing music at the age of 12, when he got his first drum set. It was at that point, he taught himself the basics of rhythm. While playing contemporary church music, he also learned how to read & play percussion music in middle school & all throughout high school, playing both symphonic & orchestral styles as well as marching band. It wasn't until the age of 16 that he got his hands on an MPC500 that his older brother owned. Fast forward 3 years he finally obtained his own beat making software, where he nurtured his love for sampling, beat making as well as urban & Caribbean genres. Since then, he's collabortated with his label mates, HeadNOKKA Fam, working on multiple projects locally as well as fashion shows, ending up in the New York Times in 2014.
His love for multiple genres like soul, funk, salsa, dancehall etc. play a large role in the variations of styles in his production. While most beat makers these days tend to stick to a specific genre or formula, Emmanuel breaks the mold by incorporating his love for multiple genres by mixing it up. Coming from Latin Caribbean origins has also played a very large role in his vision, now currently working on the music for an upcoming fashion show themed around Afro Caribbean culture, art & music in the Tampa Bay area & abroad. More information will be available on that shortly.
